Lapa
In Lapa, there are all kinds of nightlife possibilities, which makes it the most visited, eclectic and democratic part of town. It is a bohemian district with many bars, nightclubs, show houses and concert halls, that has already become part of the carioca culture. Besides live Samba and Forró presentations, there’s also a lot of world music, like Reggae, Rock, Salsa, Hip-Hop and more. ‘Samba School’ Party
This cheerful and exciting option usually takes place between September and March, when the “samba schools” are choosing and rehearsing the theme sambas that will be played on the famous Carnival parade. Besides the vibrant music and people, it’s also a lot of fun and a very interesting typical cultural activity.
Favela Funk Party
The “Baile Funk” is a characteristic Rio de Janeiro’s favela party.
